conferred the status of "International Peace Missionaries" to all the representatives on behalf of the UN Secretary-General.
The contest, a celebration of beauty and intellect, strives to spread the message of love and peace throughout the world by annually appointing a public service delegation of outstanding female university students from all around the world.
The World Miss University Contest is among the four most prominent international pageants in scale, along with Miss Universe, Miss International, and Miss World. Among these, World Miss University, based in Korea, is the sole pageant dedicated in promoting world peace and importance of international relationships.
The purpose of this contest is to prepare a foundation of world peace through seeking development as an international pageant suit for the purpose as the missionaries and globalization of our companies and furthermore a rally of people from all over the world.
We want to actualize beyond the mankind of love and peace by preparing an opportunity for mankind to think of peace and therefore solve the tension and conflict between country and race and also to be free from war and conflict.
The World Miss University Contest aims to create an opportunity for humankind to reflect upon world peace and to promote global unity. By serving the public in areas that face hardships (such as pollution, starvation, disease, territorial, ethnic and ideological conflicts), the Peace Mission of World Miss University work to raise awareness of world peace and to strengthen its foundation.
